This decadent and exceptionally detailed egg-shaped legal tender coin is part of the timeless Imperial Faberge Arts series by the Mint of Poland. The majesty of Imperial Russia captured with the latest in minting technology!
The PURE SILVER, Proof quality coin celebrates the ‘Memory of Azov’ Faberge Egg, made in 1871 by the Russian jeweller Peter Carl Fabergé for Tsar Alexander III as an Easter gift for his wife, Empress Maria Fedorova. The ‘surprise’ inside the egg was a miniature replica of the Imperial Russian Navy cruiser Pamiat Azova. Meant to commemorate the voyage made by Tsarevitch Nicholas and Grand Duke George of Russia aboard the Pamiat Azova to the Far East in 1890. Like the original, this coin is an outstanding masterpiece and the epitome of craftsmanship!
Ensconced in a richly decorated presentation case fit for royalty, and limited to only 499 coins, this presentation will be popular with historical collectors and numismatists alike! The perfect gift for the king or queen of your heart!
