The Perth Mint presents the 2026 Baby Horse 1/2oz Silver Proof Coloured Coin. This release marks the Year of the Horse in the lunar calendar, from 17 February 2026 to 5 February 2027. The horse is associated with freedom, adventure, and a strong sense of self. Babies born during this time are said to bring energy to a family.

The reverse shows a young horse resting on grass with wildflowers, a dragonfly above, and the Chinese character for 'horse'. It includes the inscription “YEAR OF THE HORSE” and the Perth Mint’s 'P' mintmark. The design is by Natasha Muhl. The obverse features Jody Clark’s effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, with details of weight, fineness, and the year 2026.

The coin is presented in an illustrated box with a black display case and includes a certificate of authenticity.
