The 2025 $20 Grey Wolf – Animal Portraits coin is the third and final issue in the Animal Portraits series. The reverse design captures a grey wolf lying down, head raised and eyes open, set against a gold-plated background of rolling terrain and sparse vegetation. The wolf itself remains unplated silver to emphasize its natural appearance, while its forepaws cross the boundary of the central circular frame. The obverse carries the gold-plated effigy of King Charles III, with gold plating also on the rim. The coin is housed in a standard black clamshell and beauty box.
