The Perth Mint presents the 2026 Year of the Horse 1oz Silver Gilded Coin from the Australian Lunar Series III. This release marks the Year of the Horse in the lunar calendar, from 17 February 2026 to 5 February 2027. According to tradition, the horse finished seventh in the emperor's race after being startled by a snake. Those born under this sign are said to be independent, charismatic, and adventurous.

The reverse shows a mare and her foal galloping against a background of mountains and grassland, with the horses gilded in 24-carat gold. It includes the Chinese character for 'horse', the inscription “HORSE 2026” and the Perth Mint’s 'P' mintmark. The design is by Ing Ing Jong. The obverse features Dan Thorne’s effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, with details of weight, fineness, and the monetary denomination.

The coin is presented in a black display case with a themed outer box or in a capsule with a certificate of authenticity for the 12-coin set.
