Designer Ing Ing Jong has portrayed a koala calmly perched in the crook of a eucalyptus branch, a spray of fresh leaves held in its mouth, surrounded by native foliage. The animal itself is finished in warm rose gold against the brilliant frosted and mirrored surfaces of the pure silver, while the high-relief strike — achieved with an extra-deep blank — gives the fur, claws and branch a sculptural depth that seems almost three-dimensional. The reverse carries the inscriptions “KOALA,” the Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark, the weight, purity and 2026 year-date. The obverse features Dan Thorne’s portrait of King Charles III.
